#1 Keep Your Nails Groomed

What do my nails have to with my hair? :S... some of you are probably thinking. I am sure I'm not the only one who has snagged hair in the process of styling/washing on a jagged nail or chipped nail polish! By keeping your nails intact you will save a few strands... believe me, I know.

Has this happened to you? Do you have any hair tips?

A Sneak Peek

I cut a tiny section of my relaxed hair off!!! I have been dying to see what my hair would look like without the relaxed ends, because I always read 'you only see your real texture after you chop'...  but I just couldn't bring myself to cut a section. So what happened.. I hear you ask. Well it was one late evening and I was preparing my hair for bed, when I noticed a tangle *gasp*, unable to salvage any hair, I decided to snip all the relaxed hair off the two coils. Guys it felt so GOOD, it was liberating!! I know in my last post I said that I find the idea of cutting my relaxed ends off daunting, I guess I've changed my mind. The temptation to cut has definitely returned, I am definitely excited for the final product!!! (I'm just not excited enough to do my whole head)

1 year post relaxer

I am officially one year post relaxer *throws confetti* I can't believe it, my last relaxer was on the 7th April 2012, where did the year go? Gone are the days, where I couldn't go more than 2-3 months without a relaxer!... Replaced by days, where I can't go more than 2-3 minutes without playing with my new growth!!! Thinking back to my last relaxer makes me slightly nostalgic, but I have no regrets, and no intention of going back. I plan to transition for another 10 months, I'm so excited, although between me and you, the thought of cutting off my relaxed ends is daunting  >___<... I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. For now, I'll continue to enjoy my transition, and continue to look forward to the versatility that my soon to be natural hair has to offer !!!  Below are pictures taken of my hair today after I washed it.
