Healthier you= Healthier Hair Part 2
In my last post, I discussed how my hair journey encouraged me to improve my overall health, through diet. Allow me to introduce you to Exercise, Healthy Diet's best friend. Like most best friends, they compliment each other. The benefits of exercise are great. Exercise improves your physical and mental health. You will burn fat and reduce the chance of you becoming chronically ill. A healthier you will also reflect in your hair. Cardio will increase blood flow to the scalp promoting growth and reducing hair loss. Are you looking for your trainers yet? You can do anything from getting off the bus/train a stop early, to getting a personal trainer. Personally, I prefer to jog in the park because it's free. With summer approaching, there's no time like the present to start working out. My pursuit for Kelly Rowland's abs was part of my motivation... excuse the pun *chuckles*. Exercise is also a good way to relieve stress, I feel great after a morning jog!! I mainly do interval training, where I switch between jogging, running and sprinting, but you can do what works best for you. You can push yourself by competing with yourself! Aim to go that little bit further than last time, even if you don't beat your personal best on that occasion, you'll always be the winner.
